[SOLVED] Can't join any games since 02/11/11

Hello,

Since this evening (Nov. 02) I can't join any game on FAF.
Actually, I did join one only around 9:30pm, the game started, but the host got disconnected (network issue from his side). So we left the game and rehosted it (another player did that).

I tried to join the rehosted game, and got stucked on the "connection" window of FA.
I tried several time : same result
I closed and relog on FAF : same result
I rebooted my computer : same result.

I tried on every game that has been created since : same result.

However I can host games, and people can join them (we just ended one 15 minutes ago).

Just for information : I already played several games on FAF without any troubles (joining games), all needed ports are open in my windows firewall and internet router (like it has ever been).

Is somebody having the same issue ? and having a solution ?

I checked the "netstat -an" output when I try to connect to a game, and here are the connection related to FA (& FAF) :

I also noticed that even if i get stucked to the "Connection" window of FA, the FAF lobby increase the "Players" counter for the game i try to join.

Logs with only one attempt (logs cleaned before launching FAF) :

During this attempt, I just tried to join a game, I waited for between 30 second to 1 minute before i finally click cancel.
(I once tried to wait 5 full minutes, but it was the same).

Ok, so thanks to Mental_Diversion, I was able to do the test and get the logs.

So he hosted the game, and I tried to join. As usual I kept stuck on the "connection" window from FA (so game starting, but stuck on this connection window).

Just to be sure it's clear : I'm the one having the problem : i can't join any game (but i can host games).

Weird, there is not a single attempt to connect to you in mental logs..

I noticed that too.

And what is even weirder : the 1st time it happened that I cannot join a game appeared just after I played a game (the game I described in the 1st post where the host has been disconnected). I did not restart FAF in between. Meaning : it was working and suddenly it stopped working without touching/changing anything (no FAF restart in between).

As you launch your request correctly, I would say that your router/firewall is completely blocking the packet.

I don't thing it's related to FAF (remember : it's peer to peer, the only thing the server is doing is asking your game to send connection requests).

I checked everything, I even reconfigured it (in the same way it was) just to be sure the parameter are well applied, and I confirm that both my firewall and my router are properly configured :





And my router is redirecting the following ports to my computer :
UDP & TCP 6111 to 6113
UDP 9304
UDP 30350 to 30351

Also, i did the following tests :
- reinstalling FAF : still not working
- trying on join a game on FAF with firewall disabled : not working

I finally tried to join a game on GPGNet : It is working !!!

So I think this confirm my router and firewall are not part of the problem here.

I hope we could find a solution.

All I can say is that your FA send a command, and the host doesn't receive it.
So it's not related to FAF.
