unable to uninstall - client stuck on "uninstalling" [SOLVED]

Hello,

I am fairly behind the most recent client version so I thought I should reinstall. Problem is, I download the installer, run it, click "update existing installation", and it's stuck on "uninstalling old version". Now, I had a pop-up once with a runtime exception and I've looked through the common problems and think my client might be screwed up. I tried the linked Microsoft tool for uninstalling defective programs but it fails to identify FAForever. The uninstall tool on the control panel also doesn't see the client so I can't use that.

Attached is the latest log file from C:/ProgramFiles/Downlord's FAF Client.

Please advise.

Update: seems like simply deleting the downlord's installation folder and then reinstalling fixed the problem.
