I just wanted to note that lately im getting a lot of desyncs when watching replays. They are just standard replays downloaded from the faf online vault and +/- when the first player gets killed i get desyncs. What can be the problem?

it's not your problem. when a player leaves NOT through the score menu, a desync is displayed, despite the fact that the game runs in perfect sync.

Ze_pilot and other try to eliminate it by finding the cause of this desync. it has not been found yet.
probably this problem will get solved when the replay vault (the online replays are only a preliminary solution) will go online. i doubt that it happens before that. if they can not find the cause till then, they probably will eliminate the desync window completely from replays (this would make the most sense). another possibility would be to eliminate the "exit to windows/gpg" button...

until then, watching replays is not as much fun as it could be. my impression is that at least every second replay has a desync error in it.

It was happening before, and even in local replays.

In fact, if someone can post me an online replay that desync and a local replay that works, that would help a lot.

No Problems in 1.fafreplay

@ the 13:20 minute mark the desync occurs in 2.fafreplay

The workaround appears rather straightforward to me: dont allow quitting except through the score screen.

How would observers quit?

I have a replay where an observer quitting causes a desync.

You shouldnt observe using the ingame feature but by using the live replay function of FAF.

How about "End Replay". Does also show the scores.

Doesn't change the fact that I have a desync in this replay. It wasn't me observing and if observing really becomes an issue like this then it needs removing from the lobby.

Doesn't help me at all, there are not the same game (1 is on Voi_Vittu, 2 is on Seton).
