Link Account to Steam Error Pls Help

Good afternoon! I have the following problem. An old account is attached to my Steam account, from which I forgot my password and login, and in I do not need this account, I created it just to try to play. I have my account on which I played a game for a long time, and now I can’t attach it to Steam. Is there any solution to this problem, untie the old one and tie the one I played on? I would be very grateful

you can reset your password via faforever.com -> you can do it with your email even if you don't know your faf user name (the user name will also be printed out in the pw reset confirmation email)

As I understand it, there is no way to change your account to your Steam? Or admins do not want to do this?
