Actually I just got in. It looks like when the server is close to full it is difficult to get in.

nevermind, just got logged out by the server. It claimed I was 'logged in elsewhere'. Now I can't get back in. Server must be overloaded.

680 users, how can it be overloaded? someone is fapping with server hardware.

we had over 1400 users logged in when the load got too heavy
now the number of logged in users is less due to that

if you read the news post linked before you may notice that a server move is already planned in order to combat these issues

Nobody played with the server tonight. It was just overloaded like every other busy day in the last 3 months.
3 hours ago we rebooted the machine with the hope of solving some of the problems. Not sure if that actually helped.

We never performed any planned downtime during peak times without an announcements a few days earlier. All other downtimes are unplanned. But thanks for spreading FUD.
