LOGIN forum vs client issue??

I've recently created a new account on FAF. I tried to login on the client and it kept telling me my password is incorrect. i tried resetting it, but didn't get an email, not even in my spam folder. later, i tried again and still didn't get an email. I cant login on the Main FAF website or on the client but I can log in to the forums somehow with my old password?

The forum account and faf account are completely seperate things.
