Connection problems, regular lags in game

Hi there,

I've been having connection problems ever since I moved to downlords client - please help !

When I search 1v1 it can take a very long time to find anyone, even though others are searching.

When I eventually do matchup there seems to be a regular pause in-game. Its caused by me as it happens with nearly everyone.

My broadband speed is fine as is ping. In the ICE adapter it shows the last recv as a very high number when it drops in-game.
I've just tried to join a custom game and it took 2 mins to open, and I only connected to the host

Any help you can give would be great, its really annoying!

Can someone please look into this, it is now impossible to play a game without severe lag ruining it for everyone.

Ice log attached from todays disaster.

Bottlenecks keep ruining the game, my ping and connection seem fine, I've reinstalled both Client and Supcom to another drive but the problem remains.

Can't see anything in there, looks like a normal connection loss. I'd need the stdout and stderr of the adapter process which is waiting for this issue: https://github.com/FAForever/downlords- ... ssues/1431

You can also try installing an older version of the client (0.10.4, see that same github repo under releases) and then send me the downlords-faf-client.log. Pls pm me when you reply as our RSS forums bot is currently not notifying on replies in threads, only on new threads.

I'm using the older 0.10.4 client as you suggested and it is much improved. I still have problems now and again in the same way.

Its really odd, I played against someone with no issues at all, then played him again 30mins later and it was really bad.

Using 0.10.4 is gonna make it worse. Do not do that, it won't fix your problem. The reason I told you to use it is that it logs errors from the ice adapter. Play a game with 0.10.4 then go to the top left menu and click show logs. Send me the downlords-faf-client.log file. Afterwards please continue using the newest client version.
