New to FAF and Need Help

So I haven't played in Supcom FA in while. I didn't even notice that GPGnet was terminated. When I found out about GPGnet no longer existing... I googled to find this website called ForgedAllianceForever! Now I am wondering how the games are hosted and played. Are the games online like it was in GPGnet? OR are the games hosted through a LAN line and each player has to type in the correct port # and name. OR is there some software I must download to be a part to a hosting games server. If there is, could you conviently post that link below... Thanks. Someone please assist me on this issue because I would really like to test my skills and tactics again.

Concerning the gaming-system, FAF is pretty much like GPGnet was. The games are online, no need for virtual LAN or stuff like that.
Just download the client KLICK, register and start playing.

The Install and patching things are pretty much self explaining so I guess you will just get it done. If you struggle during something, just ask again. If you don't, well, see you online than
