You have been signed out because you signed in elsewhere

This is for troubleshooting of problems with the FAF client and Forged Alliance game.

You have been signed out because you signed in elsewhere

Postby E8400-CV » 04 May 2019, 22:17

Great... so I arrive home, start the FAF client and pretty much immediately I get "You have been signed out because you signed in elsewhere". Now, obviously I didn't do that, but apparently the other computer I use on the other side of the country apparently is still running... then the downlord client running there continually signs me in.

Can this please be reverted to the way it was where the last real sign-in trumps any stupid unwanted auto-reconnect?

Also; After some time the downlord client becomes only quitable via Task Manager because it spams a gazilion "You have been signed out because you signed in elsewhere" messages on top of each other..

Not a lot we can do about that. I suggest terminating the FAF client on the other computer.
If you can't do that, I suggest changing your password.

It never used to be a problem; sign in to computer B; computer A is signed out; sign in to A; B is signed out. Now I have the stupid situation that computer A keeps signing in again and again and again on it's own... so that I can't play on B.

So something was changed to introduce this unwanted behaviour, so it can also be changed back.

Every change breaks someone's workflow. Change your workflow.

Please don't waste our resource and bandwith if you are not at home.
Close the client, webpage and all other connections you may have to faf when you are not using it.

Then even more reason to reverse to previous behaviour of the client or even introduce autodisconnect if no activity.
