Deceivers stealth range is wrong

Hi,

My point of view, thinking I'm covered :

My opponent's point of view, seeing a part of my army :

Deceivers stealth seems to be shorter that it should be...

However, the ring is correctly displaying a radius of 18, as mentionned in the unit database, comparing it with Mantis Range of fire which is the same (ROF 18) :

Mantis ROF=18
Deceiver Stealth Field Radius = 18

So stealth range ring is correclty displayed... but "real" stealth is shorter...

Solved in 3619 ? ;)

this bug is as old as supcom xD same with stealth boats... not fixed yet. maybe zep can work it out somehow...

Didn't know it had always been there... Hard to fix ?
Quite annoying because when using formation moves (Ctrl(+Alt)+click), here with my 3 deceivers, the algorithm that organize the formation is fooled, relying on ring ranges I suppose...
It decreases the interest of these units (stealth vehicule and boat) when moving (or at the cost of a really high micro-managing), and disadvantage Cybran nation which is pro-stealth...
Am I the only one to use them ?

It is an engine problem, but probably someone who is good at ui modding could easily make a mod, that shows the correct range.

A bug in the engine.

Yes, but what, and what exactly is the result? A fixed or percentage drop in actual Stealthed range? If so, can't it be *fixed* with a universal range increase relative to the amount it is being reduced by?

it's funny, stealth seems some to beahve like a shield bubble, huge units at the edge are not stealthed :o


i tryed setting

Intel = {
RadarStealth = true,
RadarStealthField = true,
RadarStealthFieldRadius = 18,
SonarStealthFieldRadius = 18,
VisionRadius = 16,

to

Intel = {
RadarStealth = true,
RadarStealthField = true,
RadarStealthFieldRadius = 20,
SonarStealthFieldRadius = 20,
VisionRadius = 16,

this does ofc not solve the actual bug, bet it feels a lot better, cause the stealth radius is as big as it was originally supposed to
