I cannot log in

I need help, please. I cannot link my account (Username: Feller) because it says "Error! Your account is already bound to another Steam ID." Fine so I made a new account (username: Gideonitous) and tried to link that one and it says "Error You linked this account already to user with name 'Feller'." You can check both IDs I have not played on any IP address for over a year. I am not a smurf I just want to freakin play, and the jailhouse system is about to drive me away from the game permanently.

I see where another user posted a pic of his steam account and it helped. I cant figure out how to post a picture, but my steam account nickname is matt.karajones. The green link on my profile is https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198085204630/.

your acc `Feller` is already linked to steam
you just have to log in and play - nothing for us to fix

I cannot "log in and play" because when I try it says, "Failed to calculate your unique id (a part of our smurf prevention system) Please report this to our tech support forum" THis is why I was trying to link it in the first place...

well maybe you should have posted the error in the first post then
or you read the red text which gives you links to frequent issues that the user can fix without help from our side

I have viewed the FAQ and I don't see the answer. I thought that my original subject (I cannot log in) was explicit enough. My mistake. So to give the full details I bought a new computer, I cannot access the old computer (it is gone). I have no virus protection on.

I also just did a test without firewalls, that did not help either.

make sure you have the faf uid exe and it's not being blocked by any sort of antivirus

if you don't use mcafee then make sure you don't block the the windows management instrumentation service - you can access the services via Windows+R -> services.msc

I have no anti virus what so ever, and just uninstalled the old one to be sure. I also checked and the services.msc and the described service shows as running and startup type automatic.

I have found the UID.exe in my "lib" file of the FAF client. I don't know how to verify if it is corrupted or not.
