This means there is something wrong with your windows user profile or permissions because the client cannot find a temporary directory that it can write to to store the installer.

Hi,
Thanks for answering. I downloaded and installed the client manually and it worked.
I have been playing FAF, and seamlessly updating it and its client for the last 5 years. Why is it that for roughly the last year all of a sudden I got all these problems with the updater ?
