v0.16 client crashes during installation

Postby Lieutenant Lich » 20 Aug 2017, 15:40

So I say that I do want the new beta version, FAF closes, launches the installer. I authorize it, midway through installation it throws error codes 2503 and 2502 and quits without updating FAF.

1) Please download the installer directly from github and verify that the download didn't get corrupted (check filesize of msi file), and check if the error also shows up when running that installer
2) If it does, try uninstalling first
3) If you are still having problems, try this: http://www.fixkb.com/2014/01/error-2503 ... ows-8.html

1st throws the same exceptions, 2nd does as well. Will 3 still work for windows 10?

The solution is simple, here it is:
1) Go to C:\Windows\
2) Find the folder TEMP, open its properties
3) Click on security, select users
4) Allow full control
5) Save settings.
6) Done. The issue with 2503 and 2502 codes should go away
