FaForever flatout does not work

I don't know where to start.
I don't even know what to call the problem.

The client does not work.

It worked yesterday.
It worked the day before.
It worked for over two years, and today it does not.

-Already reinstalled the client
-Restarted the computer, twice...
-Reset the router
-Ran a virus check
-Shut off the anti-virus
-Shut off the firewall

Nothing. Don't know where to start, or how to fix any of this.
All I get is this.



Same story with all the tabs.
Nothing shows up. Nothing to work with.
No error message.
Cleared the logs, cleared the files, reset everything...

Start by posting forever.log

your forever.log.1 only contains an error that your ports are not forwarded.

can you plz
1) close the client
2) delete all logs
3) start the client
4) close it again
5) post your forever.log

I don't see anything special in that log - actually I don't see any record of recent failed launches, so I think a rotated part of the log got posted. Another thing you can try is backup & remove FAF client configuration file.

I did not post a log. I forgot to do that.

That's from yesterday.
I changed ports a few times, and forwarded both 6112, and the other ports I tried to switch over to.
Even reset the router.
Nothing worked.

Here's the kicker, the client works fine today.
I got home from work and fired it up.
Launched a game, and it downloaded all the required files (since I reinstalled it yesterday).

Not sure if and when the issue will return, but yesterday I was having zero luck with it and today it's as if there was never any issue.

Maybe the log will unearth the problem...

The connection between client and server couldn't be established properly so the client didn't receive information about the featured mods and the active games.

Sounds like an issue with your internet connection.

I think more visible diagnostic information would be a helpful addition to the UI, that is, it's loads better than having to trawl through logs and make guesses.
