AVAST AntiVirus thinks FAForever.exe is an IDP.Generic virus

I recently updated to the latest stable version and AVAST seems to think that FAForever.exe is actually a virus called IDP.Generic. I can't find too much information on this particular virus, but what I am finding is that AVAST has had some false positives with this virus in some other legitimate programs some time ago.

Is there some behavior in FAForever that might lead AVAST or another anti-virus to falsely identify it?

It's not a false positive. FAF will consume your life and destroy everything it touches (with flaming plasma death). We should encourage its spread as much as possible.

Yes.
The ForgedAlliance.exe is connection to the internet, and read/write files on disk.

This can lead a antivirus to a false positive.
