Can't directly update FAF

I haven't played in a couple of months, but now when I went to try and play FAF it says that it needs to update. That's cool, but when I click on the "yes" button, the other windows close, replaced by one that says "This installation package could not be opened. Contract the application vender or verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

Does someone know what exactly is going on here/how to address it? Would uninstalling FAF and reinstalling it from a fresh download work?

Yeah, that's a known bug. We messed up the updater a bit in one of the updates, you have to update to the newer version manually.
