Connection issues in-lobby and in-game

Whenever I try to play, the game gets a couple of minutes in then the "Connectivity" menu pops up and I can't reconnect. Even if we're setting up the game in the lobby for a couple of minutes I timeout and get absolutely murked by my "friends". I don't know what to do help me please.
