Hi all,

Long time player, first time poster.

Had a chat with a helpful lad in Aeolos after seemingly losing or not gaining rating from won games, but losing plenty from lost games. Using (FAF bitbucket link here, which the stupid forum won't let me post), found that during game 5511697 (setons 4v4, I won) my rating went from 818 to 817. Whilst not significant I have been feeling like there's been something wrong with my rank for some time, ie. losing lots of rank for lost games and gaining none/very little for won games. Surely regardless of balance (86.375% in this case), winning a game should never result in your rank dropping?

5467383 is another example whereby I won (Setons again) in a game with decent balance (84.875%) but gained almost no rank (8 measly points), yet when I lose a game with similar balance, my rank drops 20-30 points. An example of this is game 5501512 (79.875% balance) where I lost 27 points.

How is it possible to lose 3, nearly 4, times as many points for a losing game, than gained in a winning game? Especially since the balance was better in the winning game, if anything this should have had a greater impact on rank than the losing game?

I know there was a rating bug a couple of months ago which was fixed, but surely something isn't right here, and I can't be the only one?

Just from looking at this, I'd say there are still bugs within the reporting system.

Played two custom team games. Both games I was on the winning team. Both games were ranked, but I didn't get any points, and my no. of games didn't go up either. Really weird. IDs are:

Update on 26/01: I lost a custom team game (5716561), and lost 9 points (857 to 846). Yay. But my game count did go up! Also played a balanced game (5717299) and lost 10 points after loss.

Played 3 games

1st game (Replay ID 5721440) won a 1v1 against a player with under 100 games and lost rating - This is the only one where I'm really concerned about however the other 2 are worth noting.

2nd game (Replay ID 5721395) while this is not for my benefit I find that it is suitable - I had a draw game against a higher level and yet I still gained points. Surely it should remain the same? I have noticed this before on other games where sometimes both players gain rank for draws.

3rd game (Replay ID 5720932) 2v2 game even though we lost, the player with under 100 games somehow gained rating while I happen to lose rating.
