Bad rating change from a game? Report here

Hi folks,

We're still investigating what's going on with certain games that get their ratings computed wrongfully. When you encounter such games, please post their ID's in this thread. If possible, attach forever.log and game.log files from the applicable games.

There are two possible bugs responsible for bad rating changes:

1. The server never closes the game because of weird connection issues - it never sees all players as having disconnected from the game. This bug is known and being worked on, you do not need to report it.

2.
There is a possible bug which leads to the server discarding game result messages because they cannot be properly matched to army slots.

To investigate this we need forever.log / forever.log.1 from when the game was played, both from the host and from at least one other player.

As always, also post game.log.

Hi,
my 1v1 ladder scoring seems ok now; however even if I win, my win ratio is still dropping. Should not be dificult to fix I guess.

Hi, I won two games but my rating lowered. I wasn't too sure until my opponent pointed out his rose.

game1: 4590949-Flexible
game2: 4590966-Flexible

I don't remember which of those was when my rating decreased, or if it happened once or twiced, I'm very sorry. My teammate got promoted from 900 to 1000 after our first victory, so maybe it wasn't that game, but it may be possible that his rose while mine decreased.

I just activated logs in settings, so I don't think I have them.

Also, this may have nothing to do with anything but game 4590986 is not appearing in online vault, it was the third game.

Also again, the 1st game was a rehost, there was actually a "game number zero" first that lasted 1 min but we had connection issues and thus rehosted. ID is 4590931.

Edit: there are even more replays missing when I compare my personal vault with the search of my name in the online vault.

Edit2: upon further investigation, I discovered that every single replay that is lacking in the online vault, has an observer in the list of names of the players.

Edit3: I had had strange connection issues with the player I killed (twice) in the 2 games suspected to have lowered my rate when should not. The other player had previously tried to join a game I was hosting but it wouldn't let him. It's not that he couldn't connect to me in lobby, he outright wasn't able to access any of my hosted games. However, it fixed itself soon. Afterwards, we had games 1 and 2 (and 0).

By the way, quite a few replays' 'start time' have 2 mins of difference between what says in my local vault and online vault.

I'm having the same issue. Every match I play lowers my win ratio, even when I win. Before the server move I was around 60% win ratio, or thereabouts. It's since steadily gone down to 35%.

Tangentially related (or possibly directly related), but the replay vault shows the teams all wrong. All of my ladder games show both players on the same team with a win.

I have this issue to. My global rating lowered after winning 2 games .

There might be more games that have wrongly deducted rank and win percentage from me as I have had a suspicion for a while that this was happening but I had convinced myself that it was not possible! Thanks for any remedy you can offer guys . I dont know If this has affected my global rating either.

So for some reason when i play a ranked game now my win rate goes down instead of up and i've won the past 3 games i played but it still continues to drop. My rank seems to be going up slightly though so i guess that's working? not quite sure though. And one of the games i played it doesnt even show that i was in the ranked match at all when you look at the id. So the game didn't even count towards anything even though I somehow won it.
