Hi,

my faf crashes in 1 out of 20 games. The game just freezes. When doing ALT+TAB i see an error message.

Any adivce? :)

Yes, try to go back to a more 'clean' FAF
you have some mods and most likely stored mod changes in your game.prefs file

so, maybe you need to reduce the amount of mods to a minimum and clean the game.prefs

in order to do so:
go to folder

C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

rename mods to mods.backup

go to folder
Code: Select all
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

rename game.prefs file to game.prefs.old

launch the original FA, create an user, set resolution
close FA, launch FAF, host a game, set new settings, create templates and set hotkeys, and when finished

go to folder :
Code: Select all
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

copy game.prefs file to another and then rename it game.prefs.clen

and whenever you get some issues with mods, you can allways replace with this file :)

I had 40 mods in that folder. I guess I never removed a mod, some of them are there since GPGNET ;)
Now I am down to only 6 mods.

My game.prefs was 1890 lines, now 806.
