FAF Client Memory Leaks Again?

Postby TheKoopa » 30 Dec 2015, 00:06

My FAF RAM usage more than doubles from 100k to 250k for no apparent reason and then the client starts lagging:

This is a big thing for me because the FAF client derping is the difference between me having a nice game or crashing at min 10 from heat death.

The client will allocate more resources while you're playing a game. 150k memory is hardly significant.

Nothing in your log shows any issues -- what kind of lag are you experiencing?

The blinking cursor for when you type doesn't actually blink until you move the mouse, PMs don't blink either until you also move the mouse.

I've done some testing and the FAF client for me doesn't increase in RAM usage when a game is launched, nor when under stress (from say a 100 vs. 100 ASF fight).

Like I said, the point at which the client suddenly jumps up to 200k is seemingly random.
