how do you turn off FAF proxy?

I'm in america and I find that if I have to sit in a lobby for longer than about 4 mins I lose connection cause the FAF proxy, how do I stop this? it is making it frustrating to play matches when I have to either join the lobby 70 times, or not getting my spot after sitting there for 30 mins cause the next person who joined caused the proxy to f*** up for me, I know this is mainly cause I'm in the USA, on the same topic, I myself and many other FAF players in the USA would be willing to donate towards a US proxy server as well so we don't need to find work arounds

I go into a lobby or even host one and when people start connecting and it says FAF proxy established the connection I tend to get shut out of all lobbies, my assumption is that between me and where ever the proxy is there is an issue and I would like to avoid it, I don't know how to port forward and that may not solve the problem entirely but I think it would help. I play on EU servers on many other games and can stay connected relatively well as long as the severs are fine, but when I get on FAF and see the little FAF proxy establishing the connection I tend to be kicked out of the lobby with a "host abandoned lobby" message or a "you had trouble connecting to players" I have no issues whatsoever when I get in the game and it may not be the Proxy but it seems to only happen when the proxy is doing something. Also, if you could explain to me how to port forward for FAF I would be thankful.

If your router supports port forwarding via UPnP you can enable FAF to do it for you by checking the "Use UPnP" option under "Settings > Game Port...". Otherwise you can forward the necessary ports manually in the configuration page of your router.
