Black screen with FAF beta

Hi

I can't join beta games, instead of connecting screen I got only black screen with lobby mouse pointer. All I can do is alt-f4.
I tried to uninstall FAF, remove C:\ProgramData\FAForever and C:\Users\Chep\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games but this was useless.
Can anyone help please?

I still can't play beta games
I just hope that beta will stay optional...

please enable logs on :

Options -> Settings -> Save game logs

join a beta game, do the alt+f4 thing

after that go to

Code: Select all

C:\ProgramData\FAForever\logs

, and attach forever.log and game.log files, into this topic using the "upload attachment" function

well, there's an error in there and after it, FA closes..

the following sugestion is just a test, it can work or not, you can try, no harm will be made :

Close FAF

1)go to :

Code: Select all

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

- rename game.prefs file game.prefs.old

2)go to :

Code: Select all

C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance

- rename Mods to Mods.old


3) launch the Original Forged Alliance
- create new username, and set display resolution

Launch FAF, try to host beta


If id does not work, delete the 2 new created Mods folder and game.pregs file, and rename Mods.old to Mods and game.prefs.old to game.prefs

can you attach the logs after reseting game.prefs and removing mods/maps ?

they will be kinda of easy to read
