Game Settings (Second Screen) Error

Hello,

since my upgrade to Windows 10 the second screen setting is not being recognized anymore. The whole game.prefs seems to be causing issues or something. I couldn't really change anything at the settings screen inside the game, e.g. the resolution of the primary adapter did not change and the default has been set (1024,768,60). Second adapter didn't work. After a few tries I decided to delete everything inside the folder " %LOCALAPPDATA%\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance" and I was able again to change the game settings! But the secondary adapter still fails.

Hi Kaishiyoku,

I have the same issue.
I think its related to the way windows 10 handles multi monitors / sticky corners (you know when you try to drag a window from a screen to another on the desktop and it gets stuck in side by side mode instead of freely move to the next monitor);

Microsoft is suposedly working on changing its behaviour (if you search for stick corners windows 10 keywords on a search engine you will find people complaining about this) so if the two issues are related we might get a fix for FA.

I´ve tried going on control panel - ease of access - make my mouse easier to use - "prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of screen" i notice something changes but the second monitor still fails to work :/

The game is programmed to reset back to defaults if something goes wrong so thats what it is doing (resetting your resolution).

For your own good do not use second monitor, the game constantly crashes with dual monitor setup viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10600

MacKa, it only crashes for around 1/4 people, others can use it fine. Even though I don't like it, it doesn't crash with my 3rd or 1st pc, but it does with me 2nd

D4E_Omit, the same goes for me. My PC rig crashes a lot but my laptop runs just fine - the rule of duals
