Real powers for TDs

So this question been bothering me for quite a long time and i feel it is good time to raise it now.

Simply want TD to have powers to run a proper tourney without depending on anyone else. More precisely, being able to move peoples to channel and give out avatars. For all the simple users here who arent familiar how things are run here, its only natural to see someone in charge of the tourney and expect him to help or give out the rewards. And thats what they do, but you have to explain them you dont have any real power every time

It's not possible at the moment to say user xy get's only the power to move players into an other chatroom but a new administrative system is planned. When this is in place, i don't see a reason why tournament directors wouldn't get this right.

I would like to add to this debate with my own contribution which is a little more detailed. I have read the above, but would just like to clarify that this is what i would like to see when the changes are made available

Proposal

I would like to nominate myself to be a Tournament director and also propose the regular running of monthly cash tournaments assuming that FAF has the funds to do so.

But I want to make some things clear to the council before putting my self forward.

As a Tourney Director, we need powers, which are currently available to moderators and other members of the community.

Making a Tourney is easy, I have access to the Challonge page, hell I can even make a website for it no problem. The problem is, running it, and Advertising it to the FAF community. In order to make a good tourney you need players to join. And I need powers so that I enlighten the players.

The Forum – I have access to forum, but my question is what % of players actually look in here....
FAF Lobby top of page – Im not able to Edit the topic
FAF lobby chat – Cant make announcements
Personal Message – manual PM of every player
Whats new page – Dont have access to write content here
You Tube via Gyle – Can ask gyle to advertise it
Facebook page / paid advertisment (targeting current likes and specifically rts players)

Running the Tourney

Creating and controlling Tourney Chat
Transporting playings into tourney Chat after disconnects
access to avatars
handing out avatars
Creation of new avatars

So my question is. Why is it, that the powers needed to perform the above are not given to a player such as myself who is willing to spend his own time contributing to FAF for the better of the community.

Players dont read, they dont look, sometimes things need to be placed in front of them so that they can see it.

Why me?

Why should I do it? Am I capable?

I have a few tournaments under my belt now, but above all im interested, and ive got lots of ideas that I would like to try out. People want Cash tourneys, I want to give them cash tourneys. It doesnt have to be much. I need to have access to the above in order to pull off these tournies to their best potential.

I am open to a private discussion about this with any other TD's moderators and of course Vision. I much prefer talking than writing, bouncing ideas is easier

I would like to work alongside other tourney directors in a colaborated effort to pruduce and develop these ideas.
