Mex unbuildable due to factory placement

Postby Aurion » 09 Nov 2014, 00:22

So I was just in a game where I misplaced my factory a little bit and due to terraforming one of my mexes became unbuildable. I don't know if it belongs here, may not be a bug. I don't think we should want this to happen though.. See replay, it's after first factory placed, the mex next to it cannot be built anymore.

I think you have to be more carefull with your factory placement, its problem on some maps, but I would say its bad map design cause game works with terraforming like that. I leave answer, if it can be fixed, on someone else.

Yea, I had this happen recently, unfortunately that's just the way the game works. The solution is the build the mex first, because having the mex is more important than having a factory with adjacency to an unbuilt mex.

I won't build a mex first if I have no factory at all yet. I kinda misplaced it, if I actually placed it next to the mex I think this wouldn't have happened. It's annoying if a tiny misclick like this would make you lose though.
