Hello Everyone,
I've been unable to play this wonderful game for quite some time (~2 months) and can't find a solution, either in the forum or when troubleshooting myself.
When discussing this in chat it seems that it might be my multi router setup that could be the culprit but i still need more info to solve it.
First of all - lobby-log:
http://pastebin.com/di5dEGi5
I can open the client correctly, see all tabs and what-not but entering the "find games"-tab its empty. Then after couple of minuts i get "TCP Socket Error: The remote host closed the connection". The chat still works.
When reading in the forums it seems this has nothing todo with ports, but i have tried everything anyways.
Changed game Port, Port forwarding (on both routers), disabled port forwarding and tried uPnP and everythings else stated in connection issue wiki.
When troubleshooting i found out that my first router (which includes modem) could connect to FAF and see games, so it seems to some connection issue between my two routers. Here is my setup
Comp1: 192.168.0.5 - Router 2: 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.10.10 - Router 1: 192.168.10.1.
This setup has been working for ages but then suddenly stopped and i can't figure out why. I've tried alot of guids (routing, DMZ, etc.) on the web but nothing seems to do it.
I'm Hardly an expert but i do have some experience with networks in general.
Should be noted that the FAF Lobby is the only thing that isn't working. I can ping direct.faforever and a tracert doesn't show any time-outs.
To empesis that i'm very fond of this game, the community and everything about it i've previously donated 100 euros to the cause, so i promise i've tried everything in my power to get it working.
Any suggestions? If it is a port problem i can go into detail how i did it, i might doing something wrong.
Thank you
Best Regards
DamienSlayer
