Need Help ASAP

Tried putting it in tech support but saw no option to start a new topic. Sup Com FA will no longer run on steam, but will run in FAF. What gives, FAF is great but my friend wont use FAF, so how can i get it working in steam again. I've unistalled FAF, sup com, Steam, and re installed Steam and sup com, I've run in compatibility mode, i've tried everything but it wont start up. whats going on? Did FAF screw with my files and mess up my game? or Steam?

if oyu had read through everything in the red box in the tech support forums and slicked on the linkas and read those too, you would know how to post there : )

also the (probable) reason for this is that FAF overwrties your game.prefs (when you set you settings in it, like graphics settings)

to play on steam find it, and move it somehwere else.
then open fa on steam and it should work.

when you want to play on FAF again, overwrite the steam-generated gmae.prefs again.

you could also keep it for playing on steam.

Could it be that you used a player color not supported by steam?

Maybe reset your prefs with an offline game and choose the dark blue steam/fa color and then see what happens.

just rename your game prefs file to get rid of it

Faf does not change game files, only way it can screw up steam version is trough settings file.
Faf supports 12 players, steam 8. Faf has more player colours, if you Choose in faf colour that steam does not have it will break steam fa ui.
Solution is to change color to one of the top colors, or just create new profile or reset settings (delete game.prefs)
So just use separate profiles for steam and faf, I guess you have to do so if you want make hot build and gazui work on faf and steam.
