Lobby fails to load

The lobby gives me a blank screen for both games and the hosting options. After some time they do sometimes load, but when I try and host or join it begins a file download and then fails. When I tried to test the proxy I get the error FA failed to start. Not sure if these issues are related or not.

I checked and that file does exist, so I'm not sure what to make of that error. I have tried a fresh install as well.

I was having the same issue as you earlier, I've gotten mine fixed. Try clearing your cache, restarting FAF, then clearing game data, the restart your computer and open FAF. try to join a game you see and the updater should start updates giving you all the patches again since you deleted them with clearing the game files and it should be fixed.

Correction, I thought mine was fixed and now it's still doing the same thing. for some reason the log shows FAF and my local copy of FA disconnecting in the end when I never see such a thing until I terminate the process. my logs all look like this, just with different times.

You have any issue trying to do the proxy server test? Just curious if they are related or if I have two separate problems. I am going to try and install on a second computer to see if it is network settings or install problems on this one alone.

I can proxy server test, but for some reason I'm noticing it lets me play more during the later hours of the day where I'm at. However, the same problem happens every time where I get booted from the proxy server and a bunch of things set themselves to closed or off in the game logs. My buddy logged in to my account from his house and it worked perfectly so it has to be a communication problem going to a from FAF with certain computers.

Killmore, have you come up with a solution to your problem? Myself and my friends are coming across this same issue - the find games tab either doesn't work, partially works, or disconnects me from FAF whenever I click anything in the tab. The error is fairly generic, but I'm pasting the log all the same. I'm hoping you came across something, because this isn't just myself experiencing the issue, and I'd love to find a solution to this!

I know the ports are forwarded correctly, as it has been working for forever. Also the proxy test is successful.

I'm thinking there's an issue in the lobby initializing, or something about the server communicating with individual systems. I haven't seen it on another computer in my house yet, but friends have tried it and my account works fine on their pc.

Yea, but that was someone who forwarded ports and enabled UPNP. I think it's a bit different.

I do too, it's not working for me, however couldn't hurt to try every option or at least look into it. what sucks is this seems like a relatively new problem and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with FAFs servers.

I disabled the firewall in Windows just to make sure it wasn't software related. No dice. I also tried disabled Microsoft Security Essentials with and without the firewall. Also no dice. :/

IRC working good.

Unable to connect to the statistic server as well. Tried to click on the leaderboard tab, and it hung up. I closed the connecting window and checked the forever.log file and this is what I found scrolling on for eternity. I'm not going to upload the WHOLE log here, as it has ballooned to 108MB... I'm going to delete it after pasting this.
