F1 doesnt open hotkey window

Hi,

I had two popular mods installed (hotbuild and GAZ) but after reading a comment by Zlo saying that both of the mods should be deinstalled as they were now implemented in FAF I deleted them accordingly. I started another game and pressed F1 to confugre my hotkeys. It worked the first time - a popup windows appeared and I was able to change the hotkeys. Then I closed the popup window to check if it worked ingame. It did (W = building factories). Thus I wanted to configure the rest as well but F1 just didn't open a window the window anylonger. i have no idea what to do. I also deleted the game.prefs once more but that didn't help. I am really clueless. Any ideas?

Try creating a new profile by launching the fa.exe. Use that, you'll have to rebind keys and redo any settings (e.g sound, video, templates..) but it will work properly then.

if nothing helps, delete game.prefs (it will reset all settings, and templates too!)

make sure you deleted mod files from ALL mod folders
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods
D:\Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods
make sure you also deleted something like AZUI or other weird UI mods that serve same purpose

so after you delete game prefs, it must work...

what Gorton said is basicly same, recreating/deleting/creating new profile ecuals to deleting game.prefs file

Thanks a lot for your fast replay. I just tried it again. Now it works. I really don't know why. I am rather confused. I had deleted the game.prefs file twice already.

Anyway, it is ok now. Thanks =)

Just started another game and again it doesnt work. No big deal as I have configured the hotkeys in the last game but still it is rather strange. Maybe it is like this because I activated 3 mods after my last game (Notify, Lazyshare and rks_explosions)?

Lazyshare is broken at the moment, it's probably whats causing the problem

Im having a similar problem. When i press f1 my key bindings window opens, however im unable to edit them. Any suggestions?

P.S - i tried to make a new profile and delete all my mods (didnt work)
