FAF website instead of the lobby after setting up a session

So I have this problem:

recently i changed my old laptop for new one, definitely not designed fr gaming but i wanted to give FAF a try on it

intel cre i7 4500U 1.8
intel HD graph. 4400
windows 8.1

When launching faf it shows "logging in" and "setting up the session" as usual, but then instead of the lobby it shows the faf website, but with "link" "options" and "settings" in the upper left-hand corner. It shows only on the right half of the sccren wile left one stays black.
I changed the fond size from 150 to 100 like it was mentioned in the previous topics, uinstalled faf, restarted windows, even changed resolution. I also got the latest versio of intel graphic driver. Nothing has changed.

Any ideas how to fix this?

FAF by default open What's new tab. change the tab by clicking on the Chat lobby tab on the bottom.

That's the whole point! I cannot see the bottom of the 'normal' lobby, the regular bar with 'chat lobby' 'replays' 'vaults' 'galactic wars' etc. I see the lobby as if it was the FAF website, but with some modifications. And half of the screen reminds black.
I tried almost everything.

The window was larger that his desktop as when FAF loads up for the first time it is in a window (not maximized). He just needed to resize it properly.
