Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance won't stay open?

Hello, whenever I attempt to open up Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance through FAF, It will display a black loading screen, the windows loading circle in the middle, and then it will tab me out. It appears that I'm not in the game I joined, however if I created a game it shows the game and myself in it. I can see the game on my taskbar, and when I try to open it up it gives me a black screen (Minus the loading circle) and it will tab me out.
Thing I have tried-
--Uninstalling and reinstalling both FAF and Forged Alliance
--Opening port UDP 6112

Additional notes- I recently purchased a new modem, but I don't think that's what it is.
- After FAF updated it would not let me join.
-Windows 7 x64

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: This happens with Command and Conquer Generals:Zero Hour as well. I am running a virus scanner.

It appears that anything not launched through steam will return this result. I am testing out various ways of launching.

NEVERMIND! It fixed itself after I ran malwarebyte's virus scanner, I checked for PUPs and PUMs and Rootkits as well.

It worked after I ran the virus scanner, but that's a 40 minute process.
