I have my Original FA disk and Key, but the disk is corrupt

Postby Sky » 08 Jan 2014, 09:20

So after watching some casts on youtube, I thought I'd reinstall Forged Alliance after like 5 years. Basically, I'm running bootcamp on my Retina macbook with windows 7 but it doesn't have a disk drive so I can't install it through that (it does however have some decent computing power and plenty enough to run the game).

My solution was to go onto the family computer which does have a disk drive and copy the contents of the disk onto my external harddrive. However, data2.cab and data3.cab both will not copy, I assume because of a scratch on the edge of the disk. I tried installing it with the files that did copy over, but to no avail.

Basically, I've got my original product key and I'm wondering if there's a way I can just download the contents of the disk so that I can install it that way, because yes, $15 on steam is too much for me to pay (though if there's no other way, I'll probably cave).

Thanks in advance!

You can use your Key on Steam and get the game from there.
