2v2 tournament

So I don't know how to organize a tournament, but I was wondering if a 2v2 tournament was on the horizon. Is there any interest in this? Again, I could help organize the brackets and so forth, but am clueless about how to advertise and etc... I like the IMBA Cup approach of having an entire week to play the game, allowing for participation by people who can't be at their desk for six hours at one particular and arbitrary time; this is how most the GPGNet tournaments were.

I would like to see a tournament that isn't 'invite only' so that the whole community could participate. Further, most games I see being played are custom team games so I think there are good teams/team players that are not being recognized.

Would anyone offer to help me get this tournament off the ground?

The other day, I wanted to reply to TA4life thread about the post IMBA cup tourney that a 2v2 tourney would be entertaining.
So I hope it can happen.
I'm busy with work these days, so I cannot help you much with organization though.

i run them but noone ever sign up or they sign up but don't turn up at all.

same for 1v1 on faf

they all vote for maps so last 1 was 40 votesish = 15 players only 5 playied or even less
