Every Replays drops "Desync Detected" message and freeze

Postby Arszi » 27 Oct 2013, 13:02

Greeting everyone!
I have been watching replays for a good amount of time, to learn how to play Supreme Commander.

After an update FAF kept telling me this "My hostname can't be resolved to a IP address" issue. It started around this summer. I never experienced any problems with SupCom before that FAF update. Since then every replay drops a desync detected error at every 50th beat, and stops at around the 10th minute. The "My hostname can't be resolved to a IP address"error does not appeared since then in the newer versions of FAF. If the replay is shorter, than 10 minutes, it will end around "the replay's length - 1 minute".

Also I searched on the forum, I encountered a topic about this error, but in that topic a few replay were broken, not all of them. I think my issue has a different nature.

I do not use any mods, and even cleared the FAF cache and game files, but the result is still the same.

I attached a replay log file. As I mentioned above, every replay behaves the same way for me.

You don't have faforever.nxt. It's mandatory for FAF to work.

It should be downloaded when you host a game (and normally watch a replay).
