Trouble Downloading Antares Unit's and Total Mayhem

There wasn't an error log that I could find. What happens, specifically, is when I go to join a game that has the Antares Unit Pack or Total Mayhem 1.20, I go to start the download for the mods, and in the case of Total Mayhem, the download box opens, and then stays completely blank, and in Antares Unit Pack's case, the box opens and the bar shows, sometimes getting to 8%. In both cases, soon after they stop responding, and if I let them sit I'll get disconnected. Sometimes it will let me try to download the next one, but of course, being offline at this point it won't make any progress.

It's quite frustrating, as both packs interest me but I get basically nothing, no matter how many times I try.

(Addendum made while making the post; Apparently I can download the other mods after "Disconnecting." Apparently the problem is something with larger mods. It's still a problem, though, and I still want both mods. Any suggestions? (My install, btw, is through Steam. I'm on Windows 7 and my connection is a little, but not horribly, slow.)

Oh, here's something: It says a TCP error has occured, and that the remote host has closed the connection.

Both of them downloaded manually and installed by hand. Led to new problems, apparently. My newest question is why aren't they publicly available in the vault?

Total Mayhem is available publicly on Moddb ya know. And what problems are you having? We cant help you if you dont tell us.
