Rename account does not work

If I try to rename my account using http://www.faforever.com/faf/userName.php, I always get: "This name has already been taken."

When checking that new name (leaving password field blank), it tells me there is no player with that name and nobody ever used that name. I tried with several different new names, nothing works.
