Connection Troubles

I recently installed a cable connection at home. I am often getting stuck at the connecting screen with a lot of players when automatch searching. I've port forwarded the correct ports and tried everything but still this is happening a lot, even though I can connect to players fine one game, the next it doesn't work, just hangs at connecting screen.

Also you are supposed to use the proxy server when there is a problem. But:

Something is blocking FAF to open these port (12000 to 12011 I think, in TCP, local only).

I dont know how far these go back, but it's 3/4 launches i get this error.

So should I just forward these two ports in my router .. or is there something more ?

You don't have to forward these ports, there are used locally only (They listen to 127.0.0.1 only).

Also, not having them routed correctly wouldn't block the binding.

It's probably a firewall or a antivirus blocking them.

I'veturned off all my firewalls and security gear, still getting this issue.

Maybe another program is already using them?

I will try to make them customizable in the next version.

Yeah I'm stil getting this issue, plus lag issues in game.

How can I can test the stability of my line.

If you go through the proxy, it's normal that you suffer from lag as you are in australia.

Do you get the proxy message after your game?

I have been getting the proxy message after game. Never had lag issues until very recently, so not sure what has changed.

When I host a game I get tonnes of lag to other players (700 ping to the same country). BUT when I join another host's game it is fine (ping 100).

I am also seeing the same issues, it become much worse in the last few days - two Australian players (one is host) will get the proxy between them about 2 of every 3 connection attempts.

Was there an adjustment to the timing where it is decided to use the proxy Connection?

Also, is there a possibility we could run a proxy in Australia?

A group of us had a discussion and we are happy to provide a server and cover the bandwidth costs, if it will improve our proxy problems...
