map downloading bug

also there is a bug since t release of FA which annoy me for 4 years

i have russian version of windows 7. when i try to play any unnoficial map - it offer me to download it - even if map is in gamefolder maps directory. It downloads in
my documents (which is written in russian symbols) My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Maps

after it is downloaded - i join the game - but game says - i dont have the map.

i forced to copy from My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Maps
to game MAP folder - then download this map again and only after that - ok

so map must be in game MAP folder and in my documents\my games folder at the same time.


game map folder is Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\maps

i forced to manually copy all maps from My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Maps to
Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\maps directory all the time

The lobby can't write in the map folder. Actually, you should never do that. It alter your installation.

FA is unable to read cyrillic I guess. In this case, it should save them in the ProgramData directory. I will check that.

ProgramData directory - no maps there. add UTF8 support to FAF to fix any problems with cirrilic symbols...

You can't, it's dependent of your user name in windows.
