Running FAF stand alone with Steam Version

Hello - I've read the wiki and searched the forum but I can't find an exact answer to my question

I'd like to be able to run FAF standalone because I enjoy the balance fixes over Vanilla FA but I wanna play with just the AI and NOT bog down servers

However I do not have .......\programs\FaForever\bin

I have the folder for FA Forever however there is no \bin in there. Just the .exe for FAF and obviously the rest of FAF's data files

I use the steam version.

Any Ideas?

you can just Create a private lobby and only add KIs
this will NOT connect you to anything

Even by playing with other players you don't eat anything really.
