How am I supposed to register my nick if there isn't any text input field to type a command?

Use Mibbet or any IRC client for android or PC. It will let you register a nickname using the commands in the wiki.

The build-in IRC client should register you automatically.

If it's not the case, it's a bug, post logs.

A friend of mine has the same problem(He joined after the releasre of the 0.8.43 version of FAF). The FAF-Client does not automatically register the nick.
The startup process works as far as i can see it. The connection gets reset when the server checks whether the IRC account was registered.
Here´s a screen of the Server tab.
Logs will follow.

I hope it helps spotting the mistake.
Edit: Logs are available. It seems like is a disconnect from server after succesfully logging in.

I tried http://www.faforever.com/faf/userName.php but it didn´t really work out well(It says that the username "Vodoo" or "Zock" were unused.)
