Ports forwarded, still got connection problems

Postby Flynn » 08 May 2013, 22:44

Hi, this seems to be a problem in multiplayer games, it won't show all the players in the lobby. For instance, from the client I can see 6/6 players but in the lobby I can only see 4. I get told that I need to fix my con, but there is nothing to fix! All my ports are forwarded! I am using UDP port 7001 for inbound and outbound which is set to allow traffic. Here is my IP config data:

In the logs, you should see "port used : xxxx".

If it's not 7001, you are not forwarding correctly.

I can't find the words "port used" in the server log at all. This is just the text in the "server" tab, next to aoelus, right?

In the logs. Read the wiki, it's explained.

Yes it does say that in the logs, but it won't let me post the whole log as it is too big, what next?

But does it say it's using the port you have set in the FAF lobby (7001 in your case) ?

So no problem with your port forwarding.
If there is a problem, it's either with a firewall, or it's just someone else fault.
