EXE Won't terminate (ForgedAlliance.exe)

Hi,

in 90% of games I play, when the scores have been shown and the game completed I'm returned to the Windows Desktop and ForgedAlliance.exe is still running. Forcing the process to terminate with pskillexe reports a success, but the executable still doesn't terminate. Termination only occurs on shutdown or reboot of the OS (Win7 x64 Pro SP1).

Reformatted on the 31/Mar/13 and the problem persists. All system data is new, none has been migrated. This happens whether or not coremaximiser.exe is running.

game.log is over 300mb, however this error is recurring often:
warning: SND: XACT3DApply failed.
