As many others. Having trouble with NILs

Symptom: Having a hard time connecting to games. some I can join but I can only connect to about 1/5th of players or less.

Yes I have been searching through the forums. Though I can add on my case it's probably not router related. I started having trouble with it in my apartment about 2 weeks ago. I think it all started when I added the mumble feature. Then when I went back to my parents home I thought it would stop since everyone said it was router related but the same problem can be found here. Is there something with mumble which is disturbing the connection. (Well, I was annoyed with the mumble feature and uninstalled it. but I don't remember if that was then the problem started.

Disable mumble if you don't have it.

Read the wiki about connections problems.

Since I don't know jack shit about internet problems.. what is a DMZ? explain simply so I have something to work on.

Yes thank you I will. but first I have to get back to my own apartment and also see if the problem stands. I will check more tomorrow.

Seems like it was a problem with the router at my parents home.
I will bump this thread when I get back if I still need help.
