Naval units are hitting dead sinking engies

My frigate killed engi on water and then could'nt shoot through the position where the destroyed engi was. It keeps hitting that position till engi reaches the bottom of the sea. This happened to me before, but it was with sera destroyer.

Here's the replay, me (red) was attacking yellow's naval production with first frigate. (±7:20)

Weird bug. It looks like the assisting UEF engies continued to assist even when dead and sinking into the bottom of the sea. It's still possible to see their "assist beam" even though they are dead and underwater. I have the impression that the engine somehow think they are still alive as long as they are not wrecks, which in your case didn't happen immediately. That would explain the continued beam and the fact your frigate still shoot at them.
Not sure how to fix this though...

I found the second replay with destroyer and it wasnt engi, but arti, but same problem.
so I dont think that it has something to do with dead engies assisting, but with more units that die on water and are sinking
