Behind 2 Routers

Postby Culverin » 12 Mar 2013, 18:00

Hi there,

I'm behind a 2nd router, the standard port forwarding as shown here doesn't seem to work for me.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... mander.htm

I'm looking at this tutorial
http://portforward.com/help/doubleroute ... arding.htm

And I'm a little unsure of Step #1,
Step 1

We want to forward ports from the WAN of R1 to a computer connected to LAN2. To do this we need to forward the ports in R1 to R2's external IP address. In this example we would log into R1 and forward ports to 192.168.1.5.

Note: In order to connect to R1's web interface one will probably have to plug a computer directly into R1 and establish a connection on LAN1.

Any chance somebody would be able to help make this a little more idiot proof for me?

I'm behind 2 routers because the first one is a modem/router from the ISP that goes to my tenants.
I run a landline across the house for my unit and have a separate access point for my wifi.

thanks so much!!!
