Monkeylord controls

Hi,
I recall in a very old forum topic on Vanilla, monkeylord can be forced to fire laser at a precise point (not only targetting an unit) and some other things like that.
I've just seen a replay where such a monkeylord did fire like this but I wasn't able to repro.
Anyone knows how to do that?
A dedicated topic to all these kinds of special controls would be great too.
