WWPC 2v2 Weekly Tourney

We are opening two more divisions in the WWPC:

2v2 U1700 and 2v2 O1700

The format will be very similar to the regular WWPC tourney. Once again, sign up during the week, win a lottery to
get a spot on Friday and play by Saturday 8 pm UTC. Then play the champions at some point after.
Refer to regular WWPC rules for more information.

Pick a good team name and sign up on this forum below:

The differences:

Must sign up as a team of 2 to 4 players.
Any of the four players can play in any of the games, but if you are a player on a team you cannot play on two different teams in the same week.(participating in the tourney includes being the champion)


Best of 3 format with only one round(unless we get a massive number of sign ups)
If four or less teams sign up to play then only one BO3 round is played with the teams that were selected by the lottery. The winners of this single BO3 then become the challengers and play the champion in the usual BO5 manner (first and fourth map chosen by challengers).

Rules regarding player movement between teams:(violation of these will lead to corrective actions based on the situation)

1. Once you pick a team for a week (by signing up on the forums), you can't choose a different team.
2. If you are part of the championship team, you can't choose a new team to play on
3. If you are in the U1700 division and your rating goes above 1700 you can no longer play for your team.
4. If you didn't win the championship during a week you can join any team during the following week.
5. If a team has joined the tourney with 2 players, they can pick up two more players later in the week (even after some games have been played), these pickups must be posted on the forum to be valid.
6. No more than 4 players can be on a team during a week.
7. The championship team can switch one player per week. (this doesn't mean that if you didn't change your team for four weeks in a row you can switch the entire team)

Any rule can be amended in the future, if you see a problem, let us know. (Napalm, TA4Life and Gyle)

You can't play in the U1700 and the noob can't play in the O1700, so you can't make a team. Maybe we can make an open division in the future, but it is not possible for you to be a noob team right now.
