FA Refuses to launch

Okay, I saw a previous thread on this, but the issue resolved itself.

Issue:
FA refuses to launch and stay launched. I tried launching a game from FAF, and the game simply will not start up after updating files. Afterwards I tried to launch the game from the FAForever folder, while looking at the Task Manager. The process appeared for a split second, and then disappeared.

The steam version works fine, and is updated to 1.6.6.

I've reinstalled FAF, issue persisted.

Edit: I've no logs to produce as the game is not spitting out a log.

Edit: The issue has been solved. The issue was being caused by a crappy piece of anti-malaware that wasn't actually supposed to be anti-malaware. Boy, do I feel like an idiot.

The issue is not fixed. In the previous thread in which I saw a similar issue, the original poster's issue resolved itself. FAF games still will not launch for me.

Probable causes :
- Your antivirus, or any stupid firewall-like program, is blocking FA from starting (Avast has a really bad habit of doing that). That's the most probable.
- Someone was able to fix that kind of problem by disabling Aero in windows 7.
- Some files are corrupted. Delete the faforever in programData (NOT program files !) to force a re-download.

FAF is not blocked on any firewalls
I don't use Aero because it is a needless waste of RAM
I've tried deleting and redownloading the FAF content, the game still will not launch.

Search the forum, several people had issues like that.

Each time someone told me it's not their firewall/antivirus, I get a "oups, actually avast was blocking it because of sandbox mode (or whatever)".

I would double check if I were you.

Just quadruple-checked my firewall. No dice.

Just reinstalled FA. Still no dice.
