So just a thread to help debug the desync issue in replays. Anyone else free to help Zep in debugging this?

First thing is to see what cause the desync.

People says it's leaving without the score screen, so it's the first thing to test :

Take 4 guys, sandbox/full share, make some units, play around, then one guy leave by closing his FA. Then a second,...

See if that's causing a desync in the replay. If not, it's not leaving like that (even it can be part of the problem, it's not ALL the problem).

If you can reproduce it like that, try with no share.

we did not cause dsyncs by:

leaving with "end game", "alt- f4" or just end process
although you do f*** the onlinereplay if ALL players do end the game like that

Let's not talk about livereplay. Just local one.

Ok, so it's maybe due to an unit.

Try spawning every unit in the game (alt-f2, ctrl-shift all the list, create) -> leave.

If it still doesn't desync, it's maybe due to an action. That will be more difficult to track. Try the most common first : assisting a factory, an ACU, attacking an unit of the guy that disconnect,..

Also, full share always on for now until we find the real cause.

oh and btw... replay desyncs happen when a player is long dead and leaves with alt+f4.

impossible, why dsync in1v1 replays then?

we are hunting one game out of hundreds, if looked up all my replays i tried to remember all my dsync replays, (3 of ~500) and i cant see any parralells except the leave of one player

this replay desyncs after blue pressed alt+f4 which was 10 seconds after red pressed alt+f4.
i think we should rule out what kind of units are on the map.
